M. A. Jabbar

Managing Director

Mr. M. A. Jabbar is the Managing Director of a Family Business Conglomerate of Bangladesh, DBL Group, established in 1991. He is a Computer Science graduate from University of Texas at Dallas, USA.

Mr. Jabbar is highly aware of and compliant to the changing flows in the global markets and is passionate about CSR and sustainability. He has been instrumental in developing a good reputation and continued success for DBL. His dynamic leadership brought in growth opportunities for the company resulting in the evolution of more diversified industries for DBL Group. In a span of three decades DBL has grown and diversified into Ceramic Tiles, Pharmaceuticals, Dredging, Telecom, VLSI and IT industry, beside its core business Garments and Textiles.

His enthusiasm for excelling, harvesting, and cultivating innovation has roped in professionals from different fields to join the business and articulate their talents to transcending lengths. Being a signatory to UN Global Compact, Jabbar has aligned the sustainability activities of DBL with the UN SDGs.

Mr. M. A. Jabbar is also Vice Chairman of Bangladesh Economic Zone Investors Association (BEZIA) and Vice President of Bangladesh Ceramic Manufacturers & Exporters Association (BCMEA). He is on the Board of Global Compact Network Bangladesh and represents DBL in the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), Bangladesh and World Economic Forum (WEF).

He has been selected as Commercially Important Person (Export) by the Ministry of Commerce, Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, for the year 2014, 2017 and 2018.

ANM Anwarul Azim

Director, Technical Services Division

Mr. ANM Anwarul Azim joined Matin Spinning Mills PLC in 1999. Currently he is holding the position of Director, Technical Services Division. His major responsibilities are dealing with planning, designing, coordinating, implementing, operations and maintenance of several projects of the company. Prior to joining the company Mr. Azim worked at Bangladesh Water Development Board. On a special assignment, he was stationed in the Ministry of Electricity, Government of Libya. He has over 53 years of long experience in the field of engineering operations in textiles, garments and many other industries. Mr. Azim completed his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Chittagong University of Engineering & Technology (CUET).

MD. Shamimul Haque

Chief Production Officer

Mr. MD. Shamimul Haque joined Matin Spinning Mills PLC in 2005. Currently he is holding the position of Chief Production Officer. His major responsibilities are dealing with production, leading the R&D in creation of innovative products & factory management. Prior to joining the company Mr. Haque worked at Sinha Spanning Ltd and Padma Textile Mills Limited. He has over 25 years of long experience in the field of factory operation management in Spinning and Textiles industry. Mr. Haque completed his B.SC in Textiles Technology from University of Dhaka.

Ranjit Chandra Shil FCA, CPA

Chief Financial Officer

Ranjit Chandra Shil joined Matin Spinning Mills PLC as the Chief Financial Officer on 1st August 2026.
Mr. Ranjit is a senior finance executive and certified accounting professional, holding both CPA (Canada) and FCA (Bangladesh) designations, with over 20 years of experience driving financial strategy, operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and business process automation across the manufacturing, agriculture, financial services, and logistics sectors.
He has built an international career through senior leadership roles in Bangladesh, Canada, and Guyana. A KPMG Bangladesh alumnus, Ranjit brings deep expertise in financial reporting, treasury management, enterprise risk assessment, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance.
Prior to Joining Matin Spinning Mills PLC, Mr. Ranjit worked at Duncan Brothers (Bangladesh) Ltd., Matin Spinning Mills PLC., EXPO Group, Primerica Life Insurance Company Ltd., and Barama Company Limited in various positions. Throughout his career with multinational and publicly listed organizations, he has successfully led high-performing teams and spearheaded large-scale digital transformation initiatives, including the implementation of Oracle ERP, Sage 300, and PeopleSoft enterprise systems to enhance operational efficiency and strengthen financial controls.
Ranjit holds both a BBA and an MBA, major in Accounting, from the University of Dhaka. He Completed Articleship from Rahman Rahman Huq (RRH), Chartered Accountants.

MD. Shah Alam Miah, FCS

Company Secretary

Mr. MD. Shah Alam Miah, FCS joined Matin Spinning Mills PLC in March 2012 as a Company Secretary. His major responsibilities are dealing with Board Affairs, Regulatory Affairs and Shareholders Affairs. Prior to joining the company Mr. Alam was the Company Secretary of M.I Cement Factory Limited. He also worked with Diganto Media Corporation Ltd. as a Company Secretary and Jayson Pharmaceuticals Ltd. as a Manager Accounts & Corporate Affairs. He has over 30 years of vast experience in the field of Company Secretariat, Corporate Affairs, Corporate Governance, Share Management, Finance and Accounts in pharmaceuticals, cement, media, and garments industries. Mr. Alam is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries of Bangladesh (ICSB). He has completed his Masters in Management from Jagannath University.
